Dr. Wong's illustrious career in the medical field spans several decades, marked by significant achievements and contributions to both academia and clinical practice. He embarked on his journey at the University of Malaya, where he served as a Lecturer in Surgery from 1999 until December 2004. His tenure at the university was distinguished by his involvement in teaching and clinical practice, where he dedicated himself to the education of undergraduate medical students and the supervision of Master in Surgery programme students. Dr. Wong’s teaching methodology is comprehensive, encompassing lectures, tutorials, ward rounds, bedside teaching, clinics, and the supervision of problem-based learning.

In pursuit of further expertise, Dr. Wong was selected for a prestigious fellowship at the University of Aintree, Liverpool, United Kingdom, from 2002 to 2003. There, he specialized in gastrointestinal/colorectal and laparoscopic surgery, further enhancing his skills and knowledge in the field.

Following his academic tenure, Dr. Wong transitioned to private practice, joining the Sri Kota Specialist Medical Centre in Klang, Selangor, in January 2005. His exemplary service continued at Hospital Metro, Klang, Selangor, where he has been a Consultant Surgeon since 2008.
